Jul. 25th, 2021 02:20 am Reading random stuff on DW is oddly satisfying.
It actually feels good to read random whatever written by random but real people about random stuff going on in their lives rather than a recommendation feed chock-full of marketed crap saddled with slot machine mechanics to boot.
Here you take it or leave it — read some, skip some, leave some for later. Chill experience.
The mainstream social media? Oh hell no boyo, you're gonna be scrolling that feed non-stop out of FOMO until it makes you nauseous.
I guess this was the best thing about LJ back before it went full-on into an attention merchantry attempt that pretty much killed it.
